This shot below I only have an inkling it may be a Shearwater - perhaps Flesh-footed or Sooty Shearwater, but really, I don't know and don't know if it's possible to tell based on this photo.
I don't know what this is, but it's an interesting picture. Quite a wingspan this bird has.
I guess this is a gull. Not sure what kind though. I like the colors and the reflection of it in contrast with the green of the reeds and grasses.
With my mom's help, we figure this is a tern. What tern? I don't know. Elegant Terns are common this time of year in this area according to a Santa Cruz County birding guide we were given in our goodie bag. Great goodies by the way! I was very impressed.

I kept this image full-scale so if anyone likes to ID various gulls, have at it! lol :D Looks like juvies and adults but chances are more than one type of gull mixed in with these pelicans.

I'm gonna take a stab at some of these just to get started. You might want to send these photos or a link to this post to Charlie (at 10,000 Birds). I think the first one is a Sooty Shearwater. As for the tern, it's too far away. The gull, not sure which species, is a juvie (first year or second year) gull. I think that's all I can come up with. I do hope others will try to help ID some of them.
