in like a lion!

Well, Northern California sure is following that old saying. In fact, nearly every year it does, but the trick is to guess if it starts like a lion or a lamb. I would have guessed we were going to have "in like a lamb" this year, but I would have been dead wrong.

But it makes for cool skies...

Yesterday there was quite a variation in the types of clouds all at once.

All fit to share for Skywatch Friday #34

It looks like the clouds were painted on the sky. True blue background and the lightest touch of white silk.

I guess if lions can produce skies like that, they are OK. And that means it will exit like a lamb, right?

@Wren... it was very dramatic and i just HAD to take a picture.

@Darla, Lynne & The Ridger... I have to admit, the Kodak P&S camera enhance the blues. Don't know why, but love the output :) It was quite blue compared to a normal sky, but I think the pics turned out a little more blue than it really was.

@Babooshka... Seems to be a consensus it was true art :)

@Louise... lol, that's cute :) And yes, I sure hope it means it will! Probably will, usually does after it starts crazy like this.

March has definitely come in like a lion, with all the wind and rain we've experienced. It's nice to see the blue sky now and then, too. Let's hope for the end of the month to go out like a lamb. And then we can thoroughly enjoy all the beautiful blossoms that the rains helped produce.

It's been nice to have some clouds in the sky to watch down here in Southern Cal too. I really love those big white fluffy clouds. Magnificent!

Super shots of the different clouds Red! I love it when the sky gets full of all the various cloud types (I don't know the names for all of them), especially when it brings the much needed rain. Beautiful SWF captures.
