Lutheran Lucciola: The Accent Test

This is fun!
Lutheran Lucciola: The Accent Test

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The West

Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.

I can't believe it! I'm tagged as "Philadelphia!" LOL Who would believe that I've lived in the West twice as long as I did in Maryland and I still have that stupid eastern accent. Well, that's according to the quiz.

I've been told I have a Texas accent or most of the time, Philly.

Here's my result:

"Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, then you're from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you've ever journeyed to some far off place where people don't know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn't have a clue what accent it was they heard."

Just like Mom :o)

Guess whoever made the quiz thinks you Balmerians sound like you're from Philly! LOL, I never would have thought that. Mom doesn't sound like Rocky, ya know? And I doubt you do either Mary!

LOL -- I loved this quiz Red. As expected I'm the "Inland North." But I will say that I think Californians have the least amount of accent that I can hear (except for the pop vs. soda thing)

Ruthie, funny story:
I went to KU for 2 years to finish up my bachelor's degree. My parents helped me move there and when we first arrived, we had lunch at a fast food joint. The girl behind the counter asked me what pop? I had no freaking idea what she was saying. It was like a different language and had her repeat it a few times. Finally my dad - who grew up in Illinois - figured it out and translated for me. ROFL!
